Guatemala, Squarespace, and my ankle

Hi Reader,

We have less than two months left this year, and I've been thinking about what went well, what could have gone better, and plans for next year. And I imagine you are, too. Before we jump into these three seemingly unrelated subject line topics, hit reply and tell me a Good Thing from this year. I'd love to celebrate with you.

And thanks to Superhuman for sponsoring this email; you can check out their ad below.

Guatemala

I'm scheduling this email to go out while I'm traveling to Antigua, Guatemala, to meet up with other Legends in Lex Roman's Revenue Rulebreaker. This network is one of my favorites because it's such a diverse group of folks making money online. It's a great way to see different perspectives, and I always learn a lot when I show up. They host regular online meetups, have an active Slack group, and offer ways to support one another's businesses. If you're looking for a network broader than around just what you do, this is a great one to check out.

Squarespace

So much is changing! At Circle Day a couple of weeks ago, they announced a bunch of new features for their website builder AND ALSO an entirely new toolset called Forma. I made a video of my thoughts you can watch here. I heard there were a lot of negative comments in the chat during Circle Day, and the in-person reaction was mixed, but I'm generally optimistic about what they could do with Forma to fill the gaps of today's AI website builders.

My Ankle

I know this has nothing to do with anything, but I may have ankle tendon surgery later this month. I'm meeting with a surgeon in a few days... and, while I have you here, if you've done this, I'd love your recommendations on what to ask and what to have on hand for recovery.

Two Day Website System Course (for Web Designers)

If you are on the course waitlist (and there are over 150 of you, so thank you!), I owe you an update.

(Not sure what the Two Day Website System is? More detail here and here, and you can also still join the waitlist for a special launch offer.)

I planned to launch this course in September, but that clearly didn't happen. Largely because I'm leaving Podia as my course platform and moving to Teachery. (And also, I'll admit, I'm very, very good at procrastinating.)

One hiccup was that Teachery was completely rebuilding their platform. Which is great! But I didn't want to do all the work twice, so I decided to wait until they launched to start adding my new course to their system. I also didn't want to onboard folks into Podia and then very shortly move them to Teachery. Life is confusing enough without me adding more complexity for myself or you.

The good news? Teachery 4.0 launched last week, and I'm adding lessons! The bad news? The integrations I need won't be available for another few weeks. And that may run into the ankle surgery I mentioned above. So, here we are, and I'll keep you posted.

At any rate, this is still high on my priority list. If you have questions, please hit reply and let me know.

And if you've enrolled in any of my other courses, I plan to move those to Teachery after I set up the new course, and you'll get more specific emails from me then.

Thanks for bearing with me, and thank you for having me in your inbox!
